Aunt Jackie Nevels' 80th birthday !
September 1, 2018
My 80th birthday was a few days ago, and I praise God for His allowing my life to reach such heights of blessings, joy, and peace! What joy I have in my salvation and having His Holy Spirit as my daily Guide, His Word as my instruction, and our awesome God as the Supreme Being in my heart and life! That begins this exultation, and it continues with words concerning my precious husband, Harold, and our two sons, (alphabetically) Craig/Zan and Paul/Lisa, and families, as my human allies of faith, love, and joy!
Having said that, I have found the most exciting, warming, loving, and caring experience of my life these last few weeks:
My adoring and adorable husband, Harold, had planned since his 80th birthday party involving all the family, to have one with the same group for my 80th. For six years he kept this truth under wraps, and began actual planning in May of this year. What great love he always exhibits for me; what an amazing man I married!
The party culminated last Saturday, after he, our boys and their families had whispered and planned for that fun day! Paul and Lisa, here in town, were praying, planning, and doing, while Craig and Zan did their own praying, planning, and doing. Craig was able to fly down, but school for Zan and responsibilities on the others kept them north, as well as Brooke at school, but we understood of course. Levi, Jessica, Cade, and Riley, here in Ocala, added their love, whispers, hugs, gifts, and beautiful encouraging words. Zan, in loving thoughtfulness, had flowers delivered here from her, Stephanie, Scott, Bella, Jacob, and Sawyer, and Alex, Bailey, & Zoe. Paul was working hard preparing their house for the party, & Lisa was working to get the clever, fun decorations & the gorgeous, delicious cake prepared. Paul/Lisa and Craig/Zan were both financially as well as actively involved with their dad, as they were all in “cahoots” together, and planning their own gifts! We were delighted that Lisa's mom, Nell, was able to be there, and gifted us with her presence and lovely package!
These overwhelming expressions of love and caring leave me with an awesome sense of being loved, honored, respected, and most definitely celebrated! My heart overruns with gratitude and joy!
